Canberra's first Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation clinic

The cutting edge

TMS is the latest therapy for the management of treatment resistant depression, and an option for those who have not responded to anti depressant medications.

Outpatient service

Administered in an out patient clinic in Woden, our service offers daily treatment sessions that run for 30 minutes which can easily fit in to your day.

Well tolerated

Unlike ECT, TMS is a safe, non invasive treatment that has very few side effects and no cognitive impairment.

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive method of stimulating nerve cells in the brain to manage treatment resistant depression. A large magnetic coil is placed over the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, and electricity is used to generate small magnetic pulses in the brain, repetitively for each session.

It is well tolerated and has minimal side effects.
